About this file

This file is a presentation deck supporting a pre-solicitation technology engagement event for Next-Generation HUB Node solutions. The Department of the Army Materiel Command, Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground is conducting market research to gather information on innovative approaches for Contingency Hub Nodes (CHN) including satellite antennas and hub technology. The government seeks to understand current industry capabilities, identify potential solutions, encourage competition, and foster collaboration between government and industry partners. Interested companies must submit a Capability Statement of no more than five pages by 1300 EST on April 3, 2026, to the designated Army email addresses, including company name, CAGE Code/UEI, attendee information, business size classification under NAICS Code 334220, and a summary of the capability to be demonstrated.

The baseline CHN characteristics include a 2.2M antenna, 4-6 hub modems with 15-minute setup capability, GEO performance of 20Mbps+ WGS and 40Mbps Com at 500mS latency, MEO performance of 80+Mbps uplink and 160+Mbps downlink at 125mS latency, reprogrammable spoke modems with hub capability, and equipment packaged in 5-7 transport cases requiring no vehicle. Capability statements must address antenna solutions (2-3m parabola), RF quality specifications (Linear EIRP, G/T, antenna size, transmit/receive gain, receive system noise temperature, and constellation certifications for GEO/MEO/LEO/HEO), and transit case configuration and sizing. This is a market research initiative only and is not a formal solicitation or Request for Proposal.
