About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity HU000126QE025, a dining facility food service contract. The contract represents a re-compete of incumbent services previously performed under contract HU000125PE016.

The Government will provide a fully functioning commercial kitchen with existing food preparation equipment, refrigeration, tables, serving lines, and utilities. The contractor is not responsible for supplying cooking, holding, or serving equipment. Cleaning materials and sanitation supplies will be made available on-site. The dining facility will operate on a seated/sit-down dining format with the option for personnel to obtain to-go plates if still on shift. The Government has no preference regarding meal service style; contractors may use either buffet-line or plated/individual service methods, provided they can efficiently serve all personnel within the required meal period and deliver the full specified meal quantities. The contract is structured as Firm Fixed Price, with contractors required to price Contract Line Items (CLINs) based on stated quantities of 1,320 breakfasts and 1,650 dinners per meal period while incorporating the cost of required 110% meal preparation into the unit price. The Government will not pay based on actual quantities prepared or served but rather on the fixed pricing submitted.
