S&RTS Talamone Bay, Italy – Synopsis

SYNOPSIS-BETA.SAM
PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT PROPOSALS IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS
The purpose of this synopsis is to notify interested parties that the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Acquisition (AQ) office anticipates issuing a solicitation for Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS). Services include vessel loading, vessel discharging, cargo receipt and disposition, cargo staging, transfer of cargo, tallying and checking, customs clearance, yard management, and handling of Government provided securing material in support of Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) 539th Transportation Battalion at the Talamone Bay, Italy. The contractor shall provide sufficient qualified labor, gear equipment and materials to fulfill the requirement.
The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 488320. The period of performance begins 1 December 2020. USTRANSCOM anticipates issuing an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a 5 year ordering period of performance from 1 December 2020 through 30 November 2025 with a possible six-month extension from 1 December 2025 through 31 May 2026 if needed.
Release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) should be available on https://beta.sam.gov (formerly FBO.gov) on or about 22 April 2020. No hardcopies of this solicitation will be issued. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by USTRANSCOM/TCAQ. The solicitation shall be posted in its entirety at this website.
