About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details a 60-month lease for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system at United States Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan. The contract requires a Vantage Fortian 1.5T MRI system housed in a specialized transportable unit, featuring advanced technologies like AiCE for image quality and Pianissimo noise reduction. The contractor must deliver, install, operate, and maintain the system with 98% operational uptime, provide comprehensive maintenance services with a four-hour response time, and ensure full compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, HIPAA regulations, and Joint Commission requirements.
Key responsibilities include providing all necessary equipment, MRI-safe transport devices, and applications training for government personnel, as well as complete deconstruction and deinstallation of the system at contract end. The government will furnish the installation site, utilities, power supply, and essential medical consumables. The contract consists of one base year and four option years, commencing upon installation and government acceptance, with services targeting military personnel and authorized individuals at the Yokosuka facility. Comprehensive cybersecurity measures, including FIPS 140-2 encryption and background checks for personnel, are mandatory throughout the contract period.
