About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details requirements for Nucleic Acid Amplification Testing (NAAT) Molecular Analyzers for Naval Hospital Pensacola. The government seeks a compact, FDA-approved tabletop analyzer capable of performing rapid molecular testing for four specific infectious diseases: Influenza A/B, SARS-CoV-2, Group A Strep, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), with an estimated annual workload of 22,317 specimens. The analyzer must be CLIA-waived, operate within specific environmental conditions (15-30°C, 20-80% humidity), have bi-directional HL7 interface compatibility with DOD Laboratory Information System, and complete testing within 15 minutes or less.

Key technical requirements include a small footprint (10" width, 10" depth, 18" height), ability to process direct swabs, internal quality control, and software with connectivity. The contractor must provide installation, validation, training, user/service manuals, and maintain equipment with replacement within 14 days of failure. The associated federal contract opportunity (Solicitation HT9408-25-NAAT) is currently a pre-solicitation market research phase, potentially set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 334516, with responses due by 12:00 PM Central Time on March 17, 2025. The procurement is being conducted by the Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Healthcare Contracting Division - South.
