About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation HT00140012412519 regarding procurement of a Reach-In Blast Chiller Freezer for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, Maryland. The Q&A addresses two key inquiries from potential offerors: facility access and installation requirements. Regarding facility access, the government provided photographs documenting the delivery pathway from the loading dock through kitchen hallways to the installation location, along with images of the proposed outlet location. The government clarified that installation is limited to plugging in the unit at an existing outlet, with the possible need for an electrician to extend the power cord to reach the outlet. Site conditions are identified as hot, humid, and wet environments typical of a kitchen setting.

The Q&A document includes six reference images showing the loading dock, kitchen entrance, hallway pathways, and the specific location and outlet where the blast chiller will be installed. This clarification document is intended to ensure offerors understand the scope of work and physical constraints associated with delivery and installation at WRNMMC's Nutrition Service Department.
