1. Synopsis
This synopsis is in accordance with FAR Part 5, Notice of Intent to award a sole source requirement. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available, and email requests will not be honored. Only one (1) responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to award a sole source contract to Antimicrobial Therapy, Inc. to provide an Online Subscription for Sanford Guide with Stewardship Assist.
This subscription will provide point-of-care recommendations for infectious diseases as well as local facility-specific guidelines that account for antimicrobial susceptibility patterns, patient population served, and antimicrobial formulary restrictions. This product is only available through the vendor Antimicrobial Therapy, Inc.
2. Background
Facility-specific clinical practice guidelines for common infections are required by The Joint Commission (MM.09.01.03 and MM.18.01.01). An application accessible via the web and mobile app via a smartphone or other device has been shown to increase use of facility-specific guidelines. The current Defense Health Agency (DHA) Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) application is unable to support specific guidelines due to lack of software capabilities and manpower to manage multiple guidelines for all of DHA. The Sanford Guide with Stewardship Assist provides healthcare providers with point-of-care recommendations for infectious diseases and meets the Joint Commission requirements.
3. Description:
This requirement will deliver a web-based subscription to the Sanford Guide with Stewardship Assist for all DHA healthcare providers. This subscription provides point-of-care recommendations for infectious diseases as well as local facility-specific guidelines that account for antimicrobial susceptibility patterns, patient population served, and antimicrobial formulary restrictions. It is a well-known, recognizable, highly rated resource for healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and students .
4. NAICS Code:
The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 513130 with a size standard of 1000 persons. The Federal Supply Code (FSC)/Product Service Code (PSC) for this procurement is 7630.
5. Submission Instructions
Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement within 15 calendar days of the publication of this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
