Government Response to Contractor Questions – Release 2 RFP HSSS01-12-R-0064 – Chemical Defense Kits
Q1. What is the time frame for the 4 options?
A1. Each period (base and options) is to last for 12 months, during which, supplies may be ordered up to the maximum quantity thresholds listed in the RFP.
Q2. Do the individual items have to be priced as this will be supplied in kit form?
A2. The ultimate goal is to have fixed prices for kits. The government does not anticipate purchase of single items. The government would like the kit items to be individually priced in order to evaluate specific cost elements that may account for the difference in pricing between various offerors. If the bill of materials appears incomplete as listed in the RFP, offerors should specify what items may be required in addition to those items already identified in the BOM. (Consumables that are used for packaging and marking of kits should be factored into the price for shipping and need not be itemized.)
