Question/Comment Government Response
1 Currently being performed under any incumbent contracts. If there are any incumbents, I am hoping to learn:
• Contractor
• Contract #
• Award Date
• Expiration Date
• Value
There are two (2) incumbent contractors, as follows:
1) Contractor - Madeleine LaMarre Contract no. - HSHQDC-10-C-00194 Award Date - 9/9/2010 Expiration - 9/8/2015 Value - $267,600.00
2) Contractor - Robert Greifinger Contract no. - HSHQDC-10-C-00202 Award Date - 9/21/2010 Expiration - 9/20/2015 Value - $938,800.00
3) Contractor - Michael Puisis Contract no. - HSHQDC-13-C-00060 Award Date - 6/24/2013 Expiration - 6/23/2018 Value - $160,000.00
2 a) Does the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation under solicitation number HSHQDC15Q00270 contain requirements similar to a current contract?
b) If possible, please provide the current contract number.
c) Or, is this a new requirement for the government?
a) Yes, the requirements are similar to the current contract.
b) See response to Question no. 1.
c) No, this is not a new requirement.
3 What is the estimated amount of travel? Travel is dependent on investigative needs. Over the course of a year, the subject matter expert may be required to travel to onsite locations approximately 3-5 times.
4 Where are the locations that will be traveled to? The Contractor personnel shall be able to travel to various locations nationwide.
Department of Homeland Security Request for Quotation No. HSHQDC-15-Q-00270 for Medical Subject Matter Expert Amendment No. 00001 Government Response to Questions
5 a) Can you clarify how to answer the “amount” for travel in the supplies and services section of the bid?
b) Should an amount per trip be recorded or a total sum for “all” travel be listed? Knowing the travel requirements will help answer this question as well.
a) The anticipated amount for travel is a “Not-To-Exceed” fixed price as shown in Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) 0002, 1002, 2002, 3002, and 4002. The amount stated in these CLINs should be factored into the total proposed amount for services for the total period of performance.
b) See response to Question no. 3 and 4 above for travel requirements.
6 When working on a travel assignment, is the contractor paid the hourly or “unit” price during work hours or is the work hours lumped into the agreed upon travel budget?
The Contractor is paid the hourly unit price in additional to approved travel costs.
