STATEMENT OF WORK
A. GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Title of Project: Office Area (Response Division) New Work Station Cabling
2. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to install existing and new data & voice cabling for the Response Division’s new work stations at the Region IX Office located at 1111 Broadway, Suite 1100, Oakland, California, 94607.
3. Background: The Response Division is replacing existing work stations with smaller units. The footprint will remain the same but the amount of workstations will increase from 51 to a minimum of 56.
4. Performance Period: The contractor shall begin and complete the work required under this SOW in 30 calendar days or less from date of award, unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer (CO).
All scheduling of services shall be mutually agreed upon between the Government and the Contactor prior to the start of services.
Work performed is expected to be during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Any work performed outside the regular business hours shall be approved by the CO and coordinated with the on-site point of contact.
5. Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed-Price, with optional qualities for additional work stations.
B. SITE AVAILABILITY
Work shall proceed expeditiously and during schedule timeframes as coordinated with the on-site point of contact. After-hours work may be approved for this project to limit the impact to the Government.
Contractor shall provide their employees with back support devices.
C. SCOPE
1. General Information
a. Install Universal Network Cat6 Data and CAT 6 Voice Cabling into a minimum of 56 new workstations and 2 new collaborative work area/station to replace old CAT 5 cabling.
b. Each station will receive one Cat6 Data and one Cat 6 Voice cable
c. Optional quantities for additional work stations – 24 additional workstations for a total of 80.
2. New Cabling
a. Cabling for a minimum of 56 work stations and 2 new collaborative work area/station. Cabling will originate from 48 Port CAT 6 Patch Panel and /or 110 Block. Contractor shall provide and run cabling for a minimum of 56 stations and 2 collaborative areas from origination to termination.
b. Install 56 stations and 2 collaborative areas Data & Voice Cabling (1 x CAT 6 Data Cables & 1x CAT 6 Voice Cable) into new work stations with RJ45 connectors and wall plates.
a. Connect cabling at the 48 Port CAT 6 Patch Panel and /or 110 Block.
b. Tone and label each cable pair.
c. Use existing independent support system or install new brackets as appropriate.
d. Optional quantity to include up to 24 additional workstations for a total of 80 workstations quoted at a per workstation option.
3. Current Data and Electrical
a. The configuration of workstations is under redesign and the final plan is not available at this time.
b. Diagrams are provided that illustrate: (1) the cable point of entry for the workstations and the area where the workstations will be and (2) the electrical and power locations. Please note: The workstations in the diagrams will not match the redesigned space.
c. Depending on the solution chosen for the furniture redesign, cable and power could come through the ceiling.
D. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY
None
E. PERMITS, ROYALTIES, AND LICENSES
The contractor shall, without additional an expense to the Authority, be responsible for obtaining all licenses, certifications and permits which are necessary to fulfill the requirements of the Statement of Work.
The contractor shall also obtain and pay the costs of any royalties and licenses for any patented or copyrighted items used in the performance of work.
Insurance requirements for successful vendor (proof required and submitted to Building Management through FEMA before work to begin).
a. Workers compensation Insurance as required by state law.
b. Commercial general liability insurance in the minimum amount of three million dollars.
c. Employers liability insurance in the minimum amount of three million dollars.
d. Business automobile insurance in the minimum amount of three million dollars.
F. Safety
The contractor shall perform all its activities pursuant to this contract in a safe manner.
The contractor shall assume responsibility on the job site for the actions of all its personnel and subcontractor(s) who are associated with performance on this contract. The contractor shall take adequate measures to prevent injury to the public or Authority property on the job site
