The following solicitation HSCG85-16-Q-P45345 Barbara Mabrity Dockside is hereby amended to provide questions and answers to all interested parties.

Question and Answers:

1) QUESTION - Is the use of silica sand acceptable as the blast media?

ANSWER - No. Per MIL-A-22262 and COMDTINST M10360.3D, Silica is prohibited in use for abrasive blasting due to the health risks/hazards.

2) QUESTION - In accordance with the SFLC 0000, sanitary facilities have to be provided during any disruptions, are there facilities near the dock that can be used during disruption? If facilities have to be provided, will there be space available for such facilities on the dock and how much?

Also, do we need to provide restroom facilities for our crew?

ANSWER - Base sanitary facilities are not available for cutter personnel use during the disruption. There will be approximately 8,750 sq ft. (350'x25') of pier space available for your use in providing sanitary services, as well as pre-staging, storage, off-vessel work, etc.

Yes, per SFLC 0000, 3.2.12, "the Contractor shall be responsible for providing sanitary facilities for all Contractor personnel, ensuring that such facilities are distinct and separate from facilities used by vessel personnel.

3) QUESTION - Will the contractor be allocated space to store our equipment on site? If so, how much?

ANSWER - Yes. You will have approximately 8,750 sq ft. (350'x25') of pier space available, next to the vessel, for all staging, storage, work, etc. needs. The government facilities and buildings cannot be used for storage of Contractor equipment due to liability and security issues.
