USCGC FIR (WLB 213) DOCKSIDE REPAIRS FY2016
Question and Answer Set#1
Q1: Is there air, power, and water available on the pier for our use? Is ships power and air available if not?
Answer: Water and one 115V outlet is available at the pier, KTR will have to contact the city of Astoria for permission to use either. KTR is not allowed to use ships water, power, or air.
Q2: Is there a weight restriction on the pier. If so what is the restriction?
Answer: See Attached Pier layout/restrictions.
Q3: We also need to know if there is a laydown area on the pier?
Answer: There is a large area adjacent to the cutter that the KTR may use, they usually store a few buoys on the pier but the FIR is the only large vessel moored there.
Q4: Will the ship be in Port over the holiday weekend and if so will they provide minimum support to start early on Friday or Sat.
Answer: Cutter can support starting the project on Saturday, September 3rd if needed.
