Amendment No. A0001 RFQ No. HSCG40-13-R-60783 This Amendment is issued to provide answers to questions received in response to this TABSS solicitation.

1. Question: Are there any page limits, font sizes or other requirements for the Technical Response?

Answer: Please keep Technical Proposals to a maximum of 20 pages. Font size at 12 point.

2. Question: Are you seeking 3 volumes - i.e., separate volumes for Technical, Past Performance and Price Proposal - or 2 volumes - i.e., Technical & Past Performance in one volume/Pricing in a separate volume?

Answer: The USCG is seeking 2 volumes, Technical and Past Performance in one Volume and Pricing in another. All proposals maybe sent electronically, i.e. email.

3. Question: Will you consider a 3 day extension on proposal delivery? We are providing proposal support and find that, as this is a very open ended solicitation, there is quite a bit of information to gather in preparation for sharing with the government.

Answer: This Solicitation has been extended out until 9/26/2013. All Proposals are due by 2:00pm EST.

4.

Question: We would need to conduct UN testing which would consist of the Vibration, Shock, and Impact Test before importing the battery packs into the US. Does a USCG representative need to be present for these 3 tests?

Answer: Yes, the USCG will need to be present. However, please indicate whether you can have your manufacture ship the production samples to the U.S. so that USCG QA can be present for the testing within CONUS.

5. Question: Would the First Article Tests and Inspections be required for each additional contract year?

Answer: As stated in the solicitation and in the Schedule of Supplies, First Article testing is required within the base year and subsequent option years. However, the USCG has the right to waive first article testing.

6. We have had a number of contracts for service work, but none that have lasted more than 2 months. Will this disqualify my company?

Answer: Please provide all past performance information so that the Technical Evaluation Team can review. The length of performance on past contracts will not disqualify your company.
