The component(s) will be shipped to the contractor for repair in order to restore them to a Ready for Issue (RFI) condition (or) be provided the opportunity to repair the MX-20 Turret on site at the USCG locations identified in attachment 2.

The term of this contract shall be for a one-year base period and four one-year renewable option periods for a total duration not to exceed five years.

Firm-fixed pricing for repair shall be a fully burdened rate. The contractor is expected to supply all parts, labor, and material required to restore these components to a RFI condition. The only exceptions to the firm-fixed pricing shall be In Accordance With (IAW) paragraph 4.2, incorporation of service/technical bulletins, paragraph 4.3 Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) or paragraph 4.10, crash-damaged/exclusions.

The technical requirements in this Statement of Work (SOW) are identified as the minimum acceptable standards of performance to define an operationally effective system. The contractor must have access to the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs). In addition to these manuals the contractor must have access to all performance/test/acceptance criteria and necessary data to ensure the items specified in the Schedule of Supplies/Services are repaired, calibrated, and operated IAW the applicable OEM manual(s).

The U.S. Coast Guard does not maintain nor release the technical documents required to repair these components.

The information contained in this section is not intended to be all-inclusive nor does it detract from the procedures outlined in the OEM manual(s) specifications except where specifically noted herein. The technical manuals listed are the basic directives to be used in the parts replacement requirement. Replacement parts shall conform to the configurations stipulated in the OEM manual(s) and by other applicable directives and instructions contained herein. Parts replacement shall be confined to those parts determined to be beyond economical repair unless otherwise specified.

Applicable Part Numbers (PNs), National Stock Numbers (NSNs) and quantity estimates are shown on the attached Schedule of Supplies/Services. The quantity estimates have been determined using generally accepted logistic and inventory management practices based on past usage, future HC-130 program projections, repair factors, rates, forecasts and various statistical methods.

These are estimates only and in no way guarantee that these quantities will be supplied by the Government.
