STATEMENT OF WORK
CONSTRUCT AND INSTALL NEW STORAGE SUPPORTS AND SHELVING IN BASE HONOLULU SHIPPING AND RECEIVING WAREHOUSE BUILDING NUMBER 4 ON GROUND FLOOR OF WAREHOUSE.
1.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision and transportation to build and install new shelving in warehouse. Frames supporting shelving to be bolted to concrete warehouse floor. Coast Guard personnel will dismantle and remove existing frames and shelving. Shelving will be built and installed in two areas of the warehouse; the main warehouse floor and the warehouse receiving cage. Installation is done according to floor plan provided. Requested delivery date is 2 weeks after ARO with subject to change.
1.1 LOCATION OF PROJECT
Base Honolulu Warehouse, Building #4, 400 Sand Island Parkway, Honolulu, HI. 96819. Shipping and Receiving section.
1.2 STATION AND LOCAL REGULATIONS
All rules and regulations issued by the Base Commander covering safety, vehicle operation, and sanitation shall be observed by the Contractor at all times.
Prior to the start of the contract, the Contractor shall provide a list of the on-site supervisor and personnel that will be working on the project to the warehouse supervisor. Personnel will have to be escorted from the front gate to the Project Location site.
Coordinate work with the Warehouse Supervisor to minimize any disruption to normal warehouse operations.
1.3 DAMAGE TO GOVERNMENT PROPERTY
Any damage caused to Government property shall be corrected at the Contractor’s expense.
1.4 SAFETY AND SECURITY
The Contractor shall comply with Federal and State of Hawaii safety and health regulations. When standards differ, the more stringent shall apply. If applicable, contractor shall report all accidents and property damage to the warehouse supervisor.
1.5 SITE VISIT
It is highly recommended that all interested parties visit the site prior to submittal of their proposal to familiarize themselves with the service requirements. Contact the warehouse supervisor at 808-842-2898 to arrange for a site visit.
2.0 EQUIPMENT
Contractor shall provide his/her own tools and equipment as needed to perform the work including all safety equipment. No Coast Guard personnel shall be used during the installation of materials. Coast Guard personnel and equipment may be used for offload of materials at the work site.
3.0 SCOPE OF WORK
1. The area where work is to be performed will have the existing frames and shelving removed by Coast Guard personnel prior to the contractor’s work commencing. The contractor shall ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to ensure safety of all personnel in the work area.
2. The contractor and assigned work personnel will construct and install new steel frames and shelving. Frames shall be bolted to the concrete warehouse floor per the requirements of the solicitation and the floor plan provided. The contractor and the warehouse supervisor shall inspect all work performed. Requirements on drawing attached include 10’H pallet rack, 3 shelves high (bottom, mid and top shelves) 8’W and 44” deep. Each 16’ pallet rack will need 4 shelves, 8’w x 44” deep. Shelves should be rated no less than 2500 lbs.. Uprights should be rated no less than 24,000 lbs. capacity. Beam capacity should be rated no less than 6,000 lbs per beam level. Materials require galvanized wire decking or equivalent or better. Request outside waterfall on the decking.
3. Upon completion of the work clean areas to a condition equal to the condition found. The contractor shall remove all tools and equipment used to perform the work. It is also the contractor’s responsibility to remove all debris/rubbish and dispose of.
4. Contractor shall possess the necessary license(s) for work performance, as required by the State of Hawaii. Contractor shall be a registered business in the State of Hawaii and the Central Contractor Registry. (www.ccr.gov).
