About this file
This document outlines specifications for work to be accomplished on two 8-meter Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs). The specifications cover overhaul and repair of the RHIBs and their trailers, including replacement of engines, electrical systems, and other components. Work includes surface preparation, painting, and preservation of the vessels. The Navy seeks repair of structural defects, pitting, cracks, and previous repairs across the hulls, decks, and other areas. Bidders must meet standards for welding, non-destructive testing, pressure testing repaired areas, and conducting trials upon completion. The specifications provide detailed requirements for individual aspects of the overhaul from removal and replacement of parts to cleaning, inspection, and operational testing of systems.

4.2 Hazardous wastes are determined by one or more of the following methods:
4.2.1 Chemical analysis which shows that the material
characteristics of ignitability, corrosivity, reactivity, and/or toxicity (Toxicity Characteristic Leachate Procedure - TCLP) exceed the limits for that material in 40 CFR 261.20 Subpart C.
4.2.2 Reference to a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
4.2.3 Applying knowledge of the hazardous characteristics of the waste in light of the materials or the process used.
