Questions and Answers 1/22/2024
1. Who is the incumbent and what is the contract value?
DFAS Response: The incumbent is Caldwell’s Auto, CAGE code 5L4Y2. The contract is HQ042319P0002 and the total value is $79,440,00 for the base plus four option years.
2. We would like to know what type of trash/debris will be thrown away.
DFAS Response: General office trash in the compactor. Cardboard in the recycling bin. The odd roll-off for Styrofoam and other packaging, rarely metal or wood. Secured paperwork or paper with PII are handled separately by another contractor.
3. We would like to know what type of trash/debris will be thrown away.
DFAS Repsonse: We will primarily be throwing away general office trash.
4. We would also like to ask which landfill has been utilized in the past if you happen to know.
DFAS Response: The only landfill that can reasonably be utilized is the Tri City Landfill in Ft.
Fairfield.
5. Do you know approximately how many tons were averaged per month?
DFAS Response: We will average ~250 people in the building daily and I have no reason to believe they generate more or less waste than an average office building.
6. In relation to the incumbent's scope of work, are electrical services at the location fully intact and operational, or will they require additional attention?
DFAS Response: There’s a panel they can tie into in place. They’ll need to do the final connection.
