Solicitation No: HQ003424Q0072 Amendment 0001

Questions and Answers (Q&A)

1. Our subcontractor, KunkelWorks Hawaii, specializes in fixed trellis systems and does not offer motorized/solar louvers at this time. I wanted to ask if there is any flexibility in the solicitation regarding the louver type. Would a fixed louver system be an acceptable alternative for this project? Additionally, KunkelWorks has suggested alternative roofing options, such as a fixed trellis with a polycarbonate or corrugated steel sheet roof system.

I wanted to check if these alternatives would be considered viable within the project's requirements.

Answer: No

2. Is there a cost estimate, budget or ballpark figure for the project listed? Is there an actual start date for the project?

Answer: The requirement proposal will be evaluated on a LPTA basis. The actual start date is day of contract award. Project is to be completed within 365 days or 1 year.
