About this file
The document is a guide for following specific projects on SAM.gov to receive email alerts about changes. It provides step-by-step instructions for tracking contract opportunities, including logging into SAM.gov, searching for a project/solicitation number, and clicking the "Follow" button at the top right of the posting. Users will receive email notifications for any project changes such as amendments, additional information, or posted questions. The guide also advises checking spam/junk folders for potential notifications and demonstrates how to unfollow a project if desired.
The accompanying sample email shows the type of update notification users can expect, including details like the Record ID, time of update, and a "View Details" link. The document is specifically illustrated with a Forest Service contract opportunity, emphasizing that this method can be used for tracking projects across any government entity, not just the Forest Service.
