How to create/change an auto-reply on a group mailbox
1. Close Outlook completely.
2. Using the Windows search feature located at the bottom-left corner of your screen, type in
Control Panel and select “Open” (like in the picture below)
3. In Control Panel, click on the drop-down text that’s located to the right of “View by:” Select “Small Icons.” Then select “Mail (32-bit).”
4. Click “Show Profiles”
5. In the Mail window, change the radio button to:
- “Prompt for a profile to be used”
- Click “Add”
6. Enter a Profile name of the mailbox you are adding. Click OK
7. Clear out and enter the group mailbox address in field below and click Next>
8. You should be prompted for your Authentication PIN twice.
9. When completed, click Finish
10. Launch Outlook. Select the group mailbox. Once the mailbox loads, you can go into Auto reply just like you do for personal email and make changes.
11. Once you are done with changing the auto reply, you may want to turn off the mailbox prompting every time you open Outlook. To do this, go back to Step 5 and change radio button to Always use this profile, and select dropdown to your Outlook profile
