Financial Education and Money Management Program Consultant
June 4, 2024
The following information is provided in response to questions received by the California HOPE for
Children Trust Account Program Board regarding RFP No. HOPE06-23 for a Financial Education and
Money Management Program Consultant.
Responses to Questions:
1. Is there a particular form that we need to provide to prove that we are in good standing with the state of California?
Response: There is no particular form that needs to be provided. In Section 8 of Attachment 2, Proposal/Proposer Certification Sheet, corporations can provide their Corporation Number. Per the attachment instructions: Enter your corporation number assigned by the California Secretary of
State’s Office. This information is used for checking if a corporation is in good standing and qualified to conduct business in California.
It is important to note that both domestic and foreign corporations (those incorporated outside of
California) must be in good standing to be qualified to do business in California. If a proposal is received from a corporation, HOPE will determine whether the corporation is in good standing by verifying the current registration information on the California Secretary of State’s website.
2. Is there an incumbent? What is their name? What is the contract number?
Response: There is no current incumbent, this is a new contract.
