About this file
This document provides details on a federal grant opportunity from the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration to fund vehicle-to-everything connectivity deployments. Eligible entities can apply for up to $40 million in federal funding over two years to plan and implement integrated advanced connectivity solutions demonstrating quantifiable improvements to safety, mobility, efficiency, sustainability, and equity. Applicants must propose deployment sites, scope, and performance measures, with applications due January 17, 2024. Technical reviews will evaluate alignment with goals and readiness, while cost reviews assess budget reasonableness. Awards are anticipated in Spring 2024, requiring quarterly financial and progress reports. The grant program operates under the Highway Research and Development Program CFDA number 20.200 to maintain and advance surface transportation infrastructure through research and technology.
