About this file
The document is a comprehensive Project Manual and Specification document for the Homewood Park Infrastructure Upgrades project, issued by the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works. Located at 540 North Lang Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the project involves a complete park renovation, including structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape improvements. The project manual, dated March 31, 2023, includes detailed specifications across multiple divisions, covering everything from site demolition and concrete work to mechanical systems, electrical installations, and specialized architectural elements. The project encompasses construction of a new field house, pool house, pool shed, football field, and various site improvements, with multiple contract types including general, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contracts.
The project is structured with multiple bid alternates, including options for shade canopy foundations, site security surveillance, additional trees, modified fencing, and sports field game lights. The mechanical contract specifically focuses on HVAC improvements for the field house, pool house, and pool shed. Funding appears to be municipal, with the City of Pittsburgh as the primary owner and Larson Design Group serving as the owner's representative. The project manual includes extensive technical specifications, performance requirements, material standards, and installation guidelines, indicating a comprehensive and meticulously planned infrastructure upgrade. Bidders are required to meet specific qualifications, including potential certifications from the American Sports Builders Association and adherence to strict technical and quality control standards.
