HMIS intends to secure the services of Facility Lease in support of Radiological Site Services in North Richland, WA.
Description: HMIS currently leases a building in Richland, Washington, containing minimum of 22,000 square foot of office space. The lease is set to expire. Therefore, the HMIS is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, HMIS will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy HMIS’s requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime. Continuity of services must be maintained.
HMIS seeks information from Potential Offerors who are capable of successfully performing a full-service lease contract, including layout of existing space, as well as all maintenance and operation requirements for the duration of the lease term. HMIS seeks to lease minimum of 22,000 RSF of space for use as combination office/laboratory/storage space, in the delineated area (shown below) within the northern Richland, WA and surrounding areas, within 10 miles of 2440 Stevens Center Place, Richland, WA. Divided into the approximate area: Office space: 2,500-4,000 sq ft, Workspace and Storage: 3,000-4,000 sq ft, Open large bay area for calibration repair and storage: 8,000-10,000 sq ft, Area suitable for extremely heavy enclosures: 1,500- 3,000 sq ft, Laboratory space: 3,000-4,000 sq ft.
Radiological Site Services (RSS) requires a facility to house its four operational areas, external dose measurements, internal dose measurements, creation and maintenance of Hanford employee dose records from the first days of site operation to the present, and calibration and repair of field radiation detection instrumentation. HMIS acknowledges that no building is likely to have all attributes that are required or desirable to support these operations without modifications, but the following are features that are required or will need to be added as a reconfiguration to make the facility useable for RSS’s needs.
