About this file
This document is a request for proposals from the Norwell Public Schools in Massachusetts for the installation of Irwin Seating Company IDS Power Operating Systems onto the existing manually operated seating assemblies at Norwell High School. The scope of work includes engineering, field measurement, furnishing, shipping, unloading, and installing four drive systems, including labor to disassemble and reassemble the existing units as required. The two seating sections at each of the four bleacher banks will be connected and operated in unison by a hand-held pendant control. The school district will provide a 3-phase, 208/230 VAC, 20 amp power source and perform the hard-wire connection, while the contractor will install the control wiring with plug-in connectors.
The contract opportunity does not provide specific pricing terms, set asides, or funding information. The document indicates that the school district is seeking proposals for this project, but does not mention any incumbent providers or the current environment. The contract duration and any renewal options are also not specified.

Installation of Irwin Seating Drive System Retrofit
I am reaching out to see if you wanted to submit a proposal to bid on the project
• Engineer, field measure, furnish, ship, unload and install complete four (4) Irwin Seating Company IDS Power Operating Systems, installed onto the existing manually operated seating assemblies, including labor to dis-assemble and reassemble the existing units as required, four (4) drive frames with all wiring and synchronizer, all freight and shipping costs, final cleanup and removal of trash and removed parts. System would be operated by means of a hand-held pendant control that would plug in to the front riser of the seating. The two sections (at each of the four bleacher banks) would be connected and would operate in unison as opposed to separately as they do currently. The two (2) existing portable units would be made non-portable by safely attaching them to the floor and the beam at the wall.
Note #1: Norwell PS would provide a 3 phase, 208/230 VAC, 20 amp power source at the area behind the seating, and perform the hard wire connection of same to the synchronizer.
Your installers would install the control wiring to the seating with plug-in connectors.
