About this file
This is an addendum to a solicitation for laundry and linen service issued by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) for their health clinic operations. Addendum 1, dated March 29, 2024, clarifies key requirements and contract terms for interested bidders. The solicitation requests comprehensive laundry and linen services, with quantities based on current yearly totals that are expected to increase as SRPMIC continues to hire additional staff. The document indicates that proposals were originally due by April 5, 2024, allowing approximately three weeks from the initial posting on March 11, 2024, for vendors to prepare submissions.
All bidders are required to maintain HLAC or Hygienically Clean certification to qualify for consideration. SRPMIC intends to enter into a single supplier agreement using the sample agreement provided in the original RFP, which may be modified to include reasonable terms and language protecting the contractor from financial risk when purchasing custom inventory specific to SRPMIC's needs—similar to arrangements currently in place with the Public Works Department's uniform company contract. The addendum reflects SRPMIC's commitment to establishing a workable partnership with the selected vendor while maintaining compliance with healthcare sanitation standards and operational efficiency.

SOLICITATION # HHS-24-016 – ADDENDUM 1 Page 3
1.0 QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES
1.1 Will all bidders be required to be HLAC or Hygienically Clean certified?
Yes.
1.2 Can you verify that the quantities listed are yearly totals? If yes, the scrub quantities are very small so is a full inventory of scrubs not rented?
Yes, the count compiled is the current yearly total. It will increase as we continue to hire staff.
1.3 Will SRPMIC also enter into a supplier agreement along with the sample agreement shown?
We will only enter into one agreement. Our preference is to use the sample agreement from the RFP. It can be updated to contain reasonalbe terms or language. For example, our Public Works Department currently has a contract using the sample agreement with a uniform company. We agreed on additional language that would ensure the company would not be at financial risk when purchasing custom inventory for SRPMIC.
