QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
All questions received from vendors by the required due date with the Government’s responses are shown below.
Q1. There is no reference to bus inspections by the SAA/SA. Are those inspections not required?
A1. No. This will be performed by the bus driver.
Q1.a. If required, are these hours included in duty hours and can the contract include in their pricing?
A1.a. See Al.
Q2. Attachment 3 lists the Safety Aide Workload at 59.35 hours. As the incumbent on this contract I can verify that the actual hours are much less. Can I get verification that you want our pricing to be based on 59.35 hours?
A2. Yes, this is our historical workload and fluctuates depending on the number of special needs students that we have.
Q3. Currently the STO provides a shuttle bus to get our SAA/SA from the STO to their various bus locations and at the completion of their route they wind up back at the STO. This new solicitation says that SAA support will begin and end at the STO in the AM but that PM routes begin at the various school locations.
A3. That is correct for the routes indicated in Attachment 2 of the solicitation package.
Q3.a. Will the SAA who report to the STO in morning be shuttled to their school locations by the STO (bus drivers) to meet their buses?
A3.a. No. It will be incumbent of the contractor to ensure attendants are at the correct locations before each run.
Q3.b. Will the afternoon bus runs end at the STO?
A3.b. Yes.
Q3.c. Will the contractor be responsible for shuttling the SAA to their various school on the afternoon run?
A3.c. The contractor will be responsible in ensuring their personnel are at the required location before each run.
Q3.d. If the answer to the above is yes, will the contractor be expected to include the costing for a van/mini-bus and driver in their cost proposal for this contract?
A3.d. It’s expected that an offeror propose a solution to performing all the requirements of the solicitation and that their price reflects their proposed approach.
Q4. Will not this contract require a contractor to provide Fist Aid Kit and Body Fluid Kit?
A4. The Bus Driver contractor will provide the first aid and body fluid kits.
