Construction Services
Site Visit / Industry Day
A site visit/industry day is scheduled for 25 September 2007 at the DTRA compound located at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) and for 26 September at the Permanent High Explosives Test Site (PHETS) Administrative Support area located at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). The following describes procedures to obtain access to KAFB and WSMR along with an itinerary and other information for the conduct of the site visit/industry day.
Access Requirements:
1. Personnel Access: Contractors must submit the following information on company letterhead by 1500, 19 September 2007. Access badges will only be issued to U.S. nationals. Request for access and substitutions will not be accepted after 1500, 19 September 2007.
a. Name of individual
b. Social Security Number
c. Date of birth
d. A statement stating that the individual is a U.S. citizen.
e. Point of contact and telephone number.
2. Vehicle Access: Each driver will need a valid U.S. driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration or rental agreement.
Arrival Processing:
1. On 25 Sep 2007 contractors are to arrive no later than 08:45 a.m. at the Gibson Gate Kirtland Air Force Base located just East of Louisiana Ave. Personnel access badges and vehicle access passes will be issued at this time.
2. On 26 Sep 2007 contractors are to arrive no later than 08:45 a.m. at the Stallion Gate White Sands Missile Range located approximately 27 miles southeast of Socorro. Personnel access badges and vehicle access passes will be issued at this time.

3. Contractors will be escorted to the conference areas. Late arrivals will be turned away at the gate and will not be allowed access to KAFB or to WSMR.
Logistics for the PHETS visit at White Sands Missile Range:
1. The PHETS site is located in a remote desert environment. Contractors should plan accordingly and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. At minimum, personal protective equipment should include steel toe boots and a hard hat.
2. Contractors must provide their own refreshments and non-perishable lunch as desired and potable water for the site visit since there are no vending or dining facilities at the DTRA Administrative support area.

2. If you would like to schedule a Government/Bidder One-on-One Meeting, please contact Denise Farris at (505) 846-8830, denise.farris@abq.dtra.mil. The 20 minute time slots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

0900 meet contractors at the Gibson gate / escort to DTRA compound
0930 commence site visit/industry day conference
1000 break and meet in parking lot to caravan to Chestnut
1200 break for lunch 1400 begin government/bidder one-on-one meetings
1600 adjourn
26 September 20007 Itinerary for PHETS:
0900 meet contractors at the Stallion gate / escort to PHETS
0930 view safety videos at PHETS
1000 commence site visit/industry day conference
1100 tour PHETS compound
1200 lunch / escort contractors off post as desired
1230 conclude Government/Bidder One-on-One Meetings
1330 tour test beds and typical test structures at the small, intermediate and large test beds
1400 wrap up session at PHETS
1430 escort contractors off post
Notes:
On 26 September 2007, Contractors may depart after the tour of the PHETS compound and will be escorted back to the Stallion gate on the hour.
Alternate Dates:
In the event the PHETS site cannot be accessed on 26 September 2007, the alternate site visit/industry day conference and site visit date is 2 October 2007.
