About this file
This is an industry day presentation for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Combat Support (CZ) Directorate regarding the TRIDENT (Decisive Action Follow-On) acquisition. The presentation outlines an upcoming professional services contract opportunity to support DTRA's Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) mission across five primary tasks: Program Management, CWMD Advisory Support, Global Engagements Department Support, Contingency Operations, and Systems Engineering and Operational Planning Support. Required services include classified and compartmented support, operational and strategic planning, data-driven decision support, campaign management, advisory services for WMD defeat operations, global partner engagement coordination, logistics support, facility management, uncrewed systems support, and communications/COMSEC capabilities. The contract will be awarded through the General Services Administration (GSA) OASIS+ Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity vehicle in unrestricted Pool 1 as a cost-type contract. Performance locations include DTRA facilities in Northern Virginia and other CONUS/OCONUS locations, with a base period of 12 months followed by four 12-month option periods. All personnel require a minimum DoD Top Secret clearance with most requiring Top Secret/SCI access, and contractors must provide or describe their approach to providing Secure Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) compliant with Department of War cybersecurity requirements.
The anticipated acquisition timeline indicates a draft RFP release in FY26 Q3, final RFP release in FY26 Q4, and estimated award in FY27 Q1. This is a follow-on to current contracts held by CACI NSS, LLC (Decisive Action - HDTRA1-23-F-0020) and Applied Research Associates, Inc. (Diamond Harbor - HDTRA1-26-F-E016). The contract codes are PSC R499 and NAICS 541990. The Government conducted market research through a Sources Sought Notice issued February 20, 2026, which received responses from 32 companies (25 large, 7 small). An industry day was held on March 31, 2026, at DTRA headquarters in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, with attendance limited to two representatives per company following significant vendor interest. One-on-one sessions were conducted on the same date for vendors seeking additional clarification on requirements and capabilities.
