BSVE Intelligent Assist
Users can range from highly skilled experts to novice analysts. The BSVE augments all of these users- regardless of skill level or physical location- by both suggesting appropriate data, tools and collaborators, and by allowing them to be developers of applications that enhance the BSVE.
BSVE Data Sources & Applications
• A single BSVE search goes across numerous data sources including PON dx data
• Results are filtered, prioritized and displayed in multiple data visualization apps
• Data visualization apps help user understand correlations among data
• Can drill into time series on any visualizer
• Can add any data visualization into a report with one click
• For text results, user-specified key words are highlighted for rapid summarization of information

PostgreSQL Extensions
• Adds spatial functions and data types to the database such as
• Distance
• Area
• Union
• Intersection
• Geometry Data Types
• BSVE supports installation of 39 PostgreSQL extensions using the
DATA API.

GEODATA Services
• WFS Service (Geo Feature) – Geo Feature service is the BSVE equivalent of the Web Feature Service (WFS). Geo Feature provides an interface to interact with vector datasets such as points, lines and polygons. Geo Features Service can also be used to query features with spatial or non-spatial constraints.
• WMS Service (Geo Map) – Geo Map service is the BSVE equivalent of the Web Map Service (WMS). WMS is the standard protocol to serve map tiles over the internet. With the Geo Map protocol the end user cannot edit or analyze spatial data but visual it. For interacting with the data, other protocols such as Geo Coverage or Geo Feature is used.
• WCS Service (Geo Coverage) – Geo Coverage service is the BSVE equivalent of the Web Coverage Service (WFS). Geo Coverage provides an interface to interact with raster and gridded datasets such as geotiffs.
• WPS Service (Geo Processing) – Geo Processing service is the BSVE equivalent of the Web Processing Service (WPS). Geo Processing provides an interface to do computations on the geospatial datasets.
