ENCLOSURE 1
Question #1: What areas are covered in the RSHA custodial square footages? Is it only the new warehouse or are all areas of RSHA included?
Response: The square footage for the RSHA reflected at Exhibit 4-6-4, Night Custodial Surveillance Frequencies and Quality Standards, PRS (7), reflects all areas of the RSHA custodial operation.
Question #2: The meat room cleaning window is only 2 hours long? Is this time firm or can cleaning occur beyond that small window?
Response: The window of opportunity reflected for meat custodial operations is 3 hours on Sunday, 2 hours on Monday and Saturday, and 2.5 hours Tuesday through Friday. These are the same hours that are used for the current contract. Therefore, the hours are sufficient to perform meat custodial operations, and the window of opportunity at paragraph 1.2.1. remains unchanged.
Question #3: Considering the stocking and custodial contracts are separate; Are there any areas that have to be completed by the stocking crew at a certain time to allow for the cleaning crew to complete their tasks?
Response: The contractor is expected to perform night operations (night stocking and RSHA custodial) within the window of opportunity reflected at paragraph 1.2.1.
Question #4: How many end displays will be utilized for contractor merchandise? During the walk through many of the front end caps were replaced with shippers. It was not discussed whether this was an ongoing practice or if it was a temporary by-product of the remodel?
Response: There are 23 end caps utilized for contractor stocked merchandise.
Question #5: What is the approximate percentage of the stocking cases that are multi-day vs. single day?
Response: We do not maintain the requested data. Please refer to the shelf stocking workload at PWS paragraph 4.3.1. for estimated monthly cases for stocking.
Question #6: According to the PWS, we have outlined the deliveries below:
Frozen Chicken
Cases Cases Grocery
Sunday
Monday
Tuesday
12520 Approx.11,000 cs.
Wednesday 1506 103
Thursday
Friday
12520 Approx 14,000 cs
Saturday 1506
According to the daily count of daily cases stocked, one truck cannot handle 11,000 or 14,000 cases. How many trucks will be coming in each day or will there be other delivery days?
Response: No rationale was provided to explain how the figures outlined in the chart above were derived; however, it appears the figures are based on workload for other than the PWS issued with this requirement. As for the question regarding the number of trucks per day, the PWS has been revised accordingly.
