The work includes replacing traffic signal detection equipment, installing hybrid detection sensors, and modifying conductor and conduit systems across multiple signal poles and intersections. Quotes are due by September 30, 2026 at 2:15 p.m., submitted via email to Justina.Binsfeld@dot.ca.gov. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled. Contract award is expected within 30 days of bid opening, with work to be completed within 30 working days. Bids must be submitted on a unit price basis. Payment bonds are required at contract award if the successful bidder's total cost exceeds $25,000, with the bond equaling at least 100 percent of the total bid. Performance bonds are not required. Certificates of insurance naming the City of Grass Valley as additional insured are required, with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. Prevailing wages apply to the project. Work is subject to City of Grass Valley encroachment permit requirements, including traffic control plans, work hour restrictions (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.), and construction debris management protocols.
