Market Research Questionnaire Field Acquisition Office Building and Facilities Section (B&F) Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Guaynabo Sources Sought

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. A single solicitation will be issued for Repair Exterior Doors, Windows & Frames. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Guaynabo located at 652 Carretera 28, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico 00965-5700, intends to make a single award to a responsible entity that will provide all necessary equipment, materials, installation expertise and labor for the removal of existing doors and supply and install new exterior doors and frames at MDC Guaynabo including specific hardware, as specified in the statement of work and drawings.

This market research questionnaire is for information purposes only. The described requirement may or may not be included in the subsequent solicitation.

A few notes regarding all FBOP requirements:

1. The resulting solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at SAM.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation are not available. The website provides download instructions to obtain all documents relating to the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the pre-solicitation notices, solicitation, and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most current information about the acquisition.

2. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified above. You must also have the NAICS code stated. Each bidder's SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement and the stated NAICS code is listed. All bidders are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information and NAICS code.
