Household items Questions:
Q: Can you please advise what the minimum order quantity would be for any purchase made?
A: Typically the BPA is established with a $500 minimum order.
Q: What would be the annual estimated mattress order quantity?
A: I estimate the annual order quantity to be about 300 full and 600 twin. This should in no way be interpreted as a commitment to purchase any minimum quantity.
Q: What are the details concerning how many years the BPA is for or any price holding requirements for a multi‐year contract.
A: The BPA will be established for a five year period, however there will be no guaranteed minimum order quantities. As a BPA is “established” not “awarded”, this will not result in a guaranteed contract.
Your response to this pricing request will play into account when deciding which vendors the government intends to establish a BPA with, however the intent is to compete every BPA Call between the BPA holders. The call, is the contract that will go to the lowest priced offeror among the BPA holders. So, pricing holds are not required as competition will be the driving factor in determining contract price.
Q: After review of the RFI for Guantanamo Bay housing items, we can provide one item. We can also team with other companies to provide to the other items but can we just provide information on the one item we can provide?
A: It would not be in the government's best interest to establish a BPA for only that one item. I encourage you to establish agreements with those other companies to get to a position that you are able to provide most, if not all of the items on that BPA notice. I would consider establishing a BPA with companies that could provide all but 2‐3 items on that list.
