DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY

410TH CONTRACTING SUPPORT BRIGADE

Regional Contracting Office – Guantanamo Bay, Cuba

APO AE 09522

25 January 2017

Interested Vendors

Request for Information (RFI) for Guantanamo Bay (GTMO) Charcoal:

The Regional Contracting Office Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (RCO GTMO) is seeking contractors capable of providing approximately 20lb bags of charcoal and 64oz bottles of lighter fluid in support of Joint Task Force GTMO in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Vendors are responsible for delivering items ordered by RCO GTMO to the port of Jacksonville, FL. Any pricing provided by vendors should be inclusive of these shipping fees. The government will provide follow-on delivery of items to GTMO from these locations. The RCO GTMO intends to establish multiple award Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) to support these requirements.

If you are interested in being considered to be one of the BPA contractors, please complete the attached pricing chart at your earliest convenience, but not later than 6 February 2017, and return to MAJ Keith Miner at: keith.a.miner2.mil@mail.mil. Please list all rates in United States Dollars (USD $). Based upon historical usage, it is estimated orders should amount to around 1500 bags of charcoal and 125 bottles of fluid each year, with a typical order quantity of 300 bags and 25 bottles. However, this is not a commitment to purchase any minimum amount of items as a result of any BPA established.

If selected as a BPA holder, a Contractor must have a valid Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to a Blanket Purchase Agreement being established with them. If a contractor does not have a DUNS number and/or is not registered in the SAM database, please notify us and we will provide you information on how to obtain the required DUNS number and how to register in

SAM.

The point of contact for this request is the undersigned and can be reached at keith.a.miner2.mil@mail.mil or 757-458-3455.

Sincerely, Keith A. Miner Major, U.S. Army RCO Chief
