Basic Description:

Center-Campus Fence: Furnish and install approximately 2700 linear feet of Type 02 security fencing for the upper plateau. This fence will extend from the campus north perimeter fence, past Gate 1, and across campus to the existing Gate B. It will include four vehicle gates as described below.

The Type 02 security fence will include conduit and power wiring for security lights, cameras, and vibration detection (power and pathways by contractor, security cameras, and vibration detection provided and installed by others).

Gate A and Gate B: Furnish and install two gate packages at Gate A (one on Golden Raintree Drive, and one on Redwood Drive, and one gate package at Gate B (also on Redwood Drive). The above gate packages shall include one lifting hydraulic vehicle barrier, one rolling manual vehicle gate with security sensors, one locking personnel gate, and Jersey Barriers. Gate A will also include boulders positioned along the fence to increase protection. Gate B will include one guard booth, while both rolling gates at Gate A will be served by a single guard booth. Both booths will include ballistic-resistant glazing, air conditioning, power wiring and pathways for security equipment.

Gate 3: Furnish and install Gate 3 to include Type 04 security fencing, Type 08 cable security fencing, Guard Booth, limited demolition of existing wall and existing Type 08 fence (historic materials to be undamaged and preserved per HP requirements), asphalt drive, sidewalk, rolling manual vehicle gate with sensors, and one locking personnel gate.

Gate 3 Inspection Pull-out: Furnish and install an Inspection Pull-out Lane along Redwood Street, to include 125 feet of 12 foot wide curbed pull-out with curbed merge transitions at each end, plus one 20x20 tented K9 facility.

Security and Entry Screening Trailers: Furnish and install two manufactured Security and Entry Screening Trailers measuring approximately 25x48 and 25x40 with interior walls. Installation to include concrete pads, personnel access walks and steps, power from existing campus sources, air conditioning, and pathways for installation of security equipment (by others).

Demolition: Following commissioning and acceptance of the new fence, remove and discard Phase I fence from the top of the Ravine, from the Center Building to Gate 6, and from the north end of the Gate 6 Bridge to the west Perimeter Fence. Remove the Gate A guard booth and hydraulic truck barrier. To preserve existing necessary circuits, Guard Booth B will remain. All materials to be recycled or stored per GSA direction. All security equipment to be returned to GDIT or stored under the direction of DHS.
