Architect-Engineer Services for a New US Courthouse in Greenville, Mississippi
AMENDMENT 1
I. This amendment is issued to change the following item:
Proposal due date is hereby changed from January 4, 2017, to January 25, 2017, at 2:00pm
(CST).
QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES
Q) Are you looking for specific information on the design of the future Federal Courthouse in Greenville such as building type, site info etc or a holistic view of the lead designer's philosophy and intent as it applies to public architecture and historic districts?
A) The purpose of the "PHILOSOPHY AND DESIGN INTENT" portion of the Stage I submission is for the government to gain a sense of how the Lead Designer may approach the project aesthetics. To this end, it is not necessary to delve into the minutiae of possible specific design solutions. Rather, interested firms would be best served by providing a broad narrative that describes the Lead Designer's vision for the project, sources of inspiration, and initial impressions of the challenges/solutions that may be encountered with the project design.
Q) Is it safe to assume that a Site Selection Study Process would be included as an initial step in the selected Architect-Engineer's Scope of Work?
A) No. Although a specific site has not yet been selected, GSA is in the process of evaluating 3 locations within the Greenville Central Business District and the selected Architect-Engineer will not be required to provide services related to site selection.
Q) Is there a date by which questions about this solicitation must be received? Will questions be answered in the form of an addendum?
A) Yes, please submit all questions no later than December 30, 2016. Responses will be provided by amendment. Limit questions to 10 per firm.
Q) General Information / Response Date: In this section, the response date is listed as January 4, 2007 at 11:59 pm Eastern. However, in “Important Information for Stage I Submittals,” it states that all submissions are due by 2:00pm Central Time on January 4.
Please confirm the correct submission deadline.
A) See revised submission due date/time at the top of this page.
Q) Synopsis / Geographic Limitation: This section implies that there is a percentage of work required in the State of Mississippi, but we were unable to find additional information about this requirement in the Selection Process section. Please clarify the percentage of work required in Mississippi. Also, should the Offeror’s response specifically address his or her plan to meet this requirement?
A) Please refer to the Stage II description that is provided “for information only”. Note that only the items delineated for the Stage I submission are required at this time.

Q) Selection Process / Stage 1: Do front and back covers count toward the 30 sheet limit? Do tabs / chapter dividers count toward the 30 sheet limit?
A) Cover pages and tabs/dividers do not count toward the 30 sheet limit as there is no content on those pages.
