GS05P11SVD0022 CLARIFICATIONS

Supplemental A-E Services, State of Michigan

Additional Clarifications to Vendor Question

Q1: In reviewing the announcement, it identifies one of the disciplines/expertise that may be required is hazardous material removal. Could you elaborate as to what the expectations would be? What would the deliverables be for that particular work form the AE? Usually that is an area that is handled by the owner. Any direction you could provide would be extremely helpful.

A1: Typically, the hazardous materials requirements include identifying potential areas with issues on projects for hazardous materials during the study and design phases. GSA provides a specification boilerplate to deal with asbestos and lead. It would typically be the A/E's responsibility to edit the spec appropriately to address the specific project concern. Once the potential for hazardous materials has been identified, there is a potential for work orders to hire a qualified testing company and perform the necessary testing. In addition, during the construction phase of a project, there is the potential that the

Government could issue a work order for the A/E to hire an independent testing consultant to perform third party monitoring services on behalf of GSA.

Q2: My question is on item 10 of the SF330. In 10a is the profile code and then next to the profile code in 10b is Experience. What I have been told and shown by others does not seem to make sense. They indicated that you enter for example if 10a ia A11 you enter Auditoriums Theaters under 10b. which seems redundant? Correct me if I am thinking incorrectly, it would seem that you would want the function codes like 06, 08, 18 etc to show the type of experience you have for that type, in this location?

A2: Please read and follow the instructions at the beginning of the SF330 very carefully and select the codes that seem most appropriate.
