Builder
Public-private partnerships have become an increasingly popular structure for project delivery, particularly for social and transportation infrastructure projects.
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) signed into law last year also includes several provisions that encourage the use P3s to drive eligible infrastructure projects. P3s provide government Owners with opportunities to accelerate project delivery, provide for life cycle optimization, maximize private sector expertise, and ensure high performance over the life of an asset. Nearly all P3 projects have a Design-Build contract at their core and, consequently, need Design-Build professionals to help ensure project success. This course helps Design-Builders prepare for their role in P3 projects by providing insight into the financial and legal workings of P3 models, outlining many of the risks and opportunities for all interested parties, discussing the procurement process and project execution and how the P3 approach differs from Design-Build projects, and addressing other aspects of the P3 concept in a level of detail targeted towards Design-Build professionals.
Under the current landscape, the use of the P3 procurement approach is expected to expand considerably in the coming years and it is imperative that design-build teams learn the tools outlined in this course to develop effective strategies to make sure P3 projects reach their full potent This course is offered as a full day session. The training will be led by four industry experts with vast experience in both Design-Build and P3 projects
