About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) detailing the requirements for installing a 10,000-gallon underground water tank at the Gray, Maine Weather Forecast Office (WFO). The document outlines an 18-point scope of work covering the complete installation process, including excavation, insulation, plumbing, and testing requirements.

The key deliverables include furnishing and installing the underground storage tank with spray foam insulation, providing site protection and erosion control, installing drainage lines with SDR 35 pipe, adding ledge anchors and tank straps, connecting fill and vent lines, installing a lift pump with flow switch, adding a 4x20 carbon filter and UV light system inside the building, and constructing a 10-12" concrete block wall around the tank. The work must comply with State of Maine codes and water quality standards, including specific testing requirements for radon. The contractor must provide an O&M Manual in both hard copy and digital formats. Notable constraints include that work cannot begin until tank delivery, and all locations shown in referenced drawings are approximate and will be determined on-site. The existing water tanks and pump are to be reused as part of this installation.
