About this file

Addendum I for the Lead Water Services Replacement Program is issued by C. E. Raines Company for the City of Gibraltar, Michigan, dated February 11, 2025. The addendum modifies the original bidding documents dated January 27, 2025, and introduces changes to the project manual index by adding Appendix III - Gibraltar Lead Services Locations and Inventory. The document provides a comprehensive schedule of pay items for a city-wide lead water service line replacement project, covering 31 different service locations across various streets including Stork, Leslie, Addison, Delavern, Gerald, Wright, Rose, Munro, Lowell, Coral, Adams, Island Dr., Stoeflet, Worth, Young, and Denison.

The pay items include detailed specifications for various aspects of the project, such as traffic sign and mailbox removal and reinstallation, tree removal, lead water tap replacements, service line replacements from main to curb and from curb to house, meter pit replacements, pavement removal and replacement, sprinkler system repairs, and erosion control. A key requirement is that all work and connections to residential meters must be undertaken by a licensed plumber. The water main materials are predominantly 6-inch cast iron, with a few 8-inch and 12-inch cast iron mains. All materials are to be field verified, and parts and materials must be manufactured in North America. The project includes extensive restoration and clean-up requirements, with a focus on maintaining one-way traffic during construction and ensuring complete restoration of disturbed areas.
