About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Gull Lake Community Schools (GLCS) for a middle school clock system upgrade. The project involves replacing the existing DC digital clock system at Gull Lake Middle School with a modern, synchronized digital clock system. The scope of work includes the installation of approximately 57 red LED digital clocks (2.5-inch, 4-digit) for classrooms and approximately 34 to 36 red LED digital clocks (4-inch, 4-digit) for hallways and gymnasium areas, along with one master clock/transmitter unit. The system requires approximately 6,000 feet of 16 AWG 2-conductor unshielded plenum-rated cable and four 24VAC power supplies to support operations. The project must be completed and fully installed by August 21st. The RFP does not specify a proposal submission deadline, site visit requirements, or a formal bidders' conference.
Proposals must include a "Total One Time Charge" price that itemizes purchased equipment, installation services (including demolition and installation labor), and estimated lead times and project duration. The system must utilize either 72MHz or 900MHz wireless synchronization and integrate with the District's LAN to synchronize with the owner's NTP server. Vendor proposals must include all necessary FCC licensing and account activation fees. The selected vendor is responsible for project management, full system testing, provision of as-built diagrams, a minimum of one hour of staff training, and warranty coverage of 90 days on workmanship and one year on infrastructure cabling. No information regarding set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding sources, or contract renewal options is provided in the RFP.
