Re: Solicitation No. BPM006010 Arizona Superfund Response Action Contract for Assessment and Remediation of Hazardous Substances
Dear Arizona Department of Environmental Quality:
GeoLogic Associates, Inc. (GLA) is pleased to offer the attached proposal in response to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) solicitation for Arizona Superfund Response Action Contract (ASRAC) for Assessment and Remediation of Hazardous Substances.
GLA acknowledges BPM006010 Solicitation Amendment #1 posted on March 5, 2024, at 9:38:06 AM. Clear Creek Associates, LLC, which became part of GLA in 2016, has been on ADEQ’s ASRAC “on-call” list for investigation and remediation of Arizona Superfund Sites under the Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) for over 20 years. This year, we are happy to be responding as GLA, to best serve the ADEQ’s expanded scope of services with all of the resources and expanded capabilities that our parent organization and other affiliated organizations provide.
We have selected the members of our highly experienced team from GLA offices throughout the Southwest, including Clear Creek's staff in Tucson and Scottsdale, Arizona, offices, to ensure we have the capabilities and depth to be responsive to ADEQ. This team includes several Arizona Registered Geologists and Professional Engineers, in addition to registered professionals from other states.
The GLA team is well-qualified in all of the General Scope Requirements listed in section 5.0 of the RFP. We are experienced in a wide variety of sampling methods for groundwater, soil, and soil vapor; preparation of conceptual site models; all aspects of remedial investigations for WQARF and Superfund sites; identification of remedy alternatives; Feasibility Studies; Remedial Action Plans; design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of early response actions and remedies; and construction of groundwater models. In addition, we are proud of our experience in assisting our clients in presenting complex geologic and hydrogeologic concepts to the public.
GLA has built relationships with an impressive array of subcontractors who may be required to address project needs. For site specific Human Health Risk Assessments, we intend to use The Fehling Group, which has had a successful relationship working with ADEQ. Other subcontractors include drillers who employ a variety of drilling methods including direct push;
Solicitation No. BPM006010—ASRAC Assessment and Remediation of Hazardous Substances Page 2 March 26, 2024 analytical laboratories for soil, soil vapor and groundwater testing and analyses; and equipment, pump, and field support contractors. All of our proposed subcontractors have experience working on WQARF sites in Arizona.
GLA looks forward to working with ADEQ as they meet the important challenge of assessing, managing, and mitigating impacts to public health and the environment from hazardous substances. To further discuss the benefits of selecting GLA, please contact Principal-in-Charge R. Douglas Bartlett, RG, CHG, at (480) 659-7131 or dbartlett@geo-logic.com.
