About this file

This document is an Addendum (Number 1) for the Genesee Intermediate School District's GenNET Backup Equipment Request for Proposals (RFP) dated July 17, 2019. The addendum addresses vendor questions from a pre-bid meeting held on July 16, 2019, with the original bid date remaining unchanged for July 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. The RFP appears to be soliciting backup equipment solutions, with the district open to various vendor proposals as long as they meet qualifying initial bid requirements.

The addendum clarifies several key details about the procurement, including warranty expectations (8x5 next business day), flexibility on equipment configurations, and licensing. Specifically, the district is willing to consider alternative enclosure designs with fewer drive bays, provided the total storage capacity remains consistent with the original specifications. The district also notes that they already possess Veeam licensing, which eliminates the need for vendors to include additional licensing in their proposals. These clarifications suggest the district is seeking a flexible approach to procuring backup equipment while maintaining specific technical requirements.
