About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to Award issued by the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget Printing Services for a Request for Quote (RFQ) related to gas pump inspection decals. The project requires the production of 50,001 decals. The RFQ number is 26*0412, and the print consultant responsible for the project is Scott Barclay, who can be reached at 517-636-7744 or Barclays@Michigan.gov. The document indicates that Printing Services reserves the right to perform the work in-house and that an actual award will be issued only after an order is received and a final decision is made to issue the project to the recommended vendor. Interested parties may protest the award decision through the Vendor Self Service portal within the specified deadline period.

Six vendors submitted bids for this project, with pricing ranging from $2,580.00 to $4,517.00. The recommended vendor is Nev's Ink, which submitted a bid of $2,636.05 with a six-week turnaround time. The evaluation process prioritizes best value to the State of Michigan, considering factors including pricing, turnaround time, price hold duration, printed-in-Michigan preference, and relevant experience. Nev's Ink's selection reflects a competitive combination of these criteria despite not being the lowest-priced bidder. Additional questions regarding the outsource process, bidding procedures, protests, and bid tabulation may be directed to Andrew Hale, Departmental Technician, at DTMB-Printing Services.
