Coronado National Forest Restroom Replacement Title: Construction – Coconino NF Heritage Site Access Improvements
Description:
Scope of work includes:
1. Demolition of existing restroom buildings, slabs, concrete stairs, railings, and other items associated with buildings.
2. Installation and compaction of fill material, riprap, and aggregate, and site grading.
3. Installation of vault restroom buildings, including 2-hole buildings at Bear Canyon Overlook and Camp Rucker and a 6-hole building at Rose Canyon Lake. This work includes providing bedding material and establishment of FFE.
4. Construction of concrete walks and slabs, and a concrete stairway with railing.
5. Installation of trash bins and picnic tables.
6. Relocation of water hydrant and drain pit, and trash bins.
This work includes preparing the site within the construction limits to construct a viewing platform following all applicable codes including but not limited to county and government agencies. All work shall be completed in accordance with project specifications and construction drawings. The work includes all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform all the operations for the work specified herein and as stated in the construction drawings.
This work shall include all labor, material, and equipment necessary to grade and compact the trail bed as shown on drawings. Grade surface trail shall comply with Forest Service accessibility requirements.
Additional improvements shall include but not limited to labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete construction staking (Walkway, Retaining Walls & Stairs), clearing and grubbing, subgrade preparation, riprap, retaining walls construction, drainpipe trenching and installation, rock stairs, relocate sign, steel pipe handrail and posts, split rail fence, seeding and mulching donation tube and building.
Quantities associated with these options are identified in the Schedule of Items.
The site is located on the Red Rock Ranger District within the Coconino National Forests.
Locations and Conditions:
Project locations are
• Bear Canyon Overlook is in Sabino Canyon Recreation Area.
• Rose Canyon Campground (Lake) is located on Mt. Lemmon (Catalina Highway).
• Camp Rucker is located in the Chiricahua Mountains on Forest Road 74E.
V Bar V Platform From the intersection of I-17 and Highway 179 travel south east on Forest Service Road 618 for 2.5 miles then take a right onto N Forest Ranger Road to parking lot located approximately 0.2 miles.
The site is located on the Flagstaff Ranger District within the Coconino National Forests.
Elden Pueblo From the intersection of Highway 89 and Country Club Road travel north east on Highway 89 for 2.0 miles. Elden Pueblo is located on the north side of Highway 89.
Basis for Award: The Government Anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price Contract using RFQP Best Value-Tradeoffs: Award will be made to the offer that meets or exceeds the requirements contained herein, at the price that is most advantageous to the government will be determined to be the best value. Price reasonableness will be determined by using competitive solicitation process.
A Site Visit is scheduled for June 24, 2021 at 9:00 am

The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000between $100,000 and $250,000 Period of Performance: 270 days after NTP.

The solicitation package, plans, and specifications will be made available on or after Julyune 1723, 2021, and will be posted at https://beta.sam.gov/ at no cost.
In order to be eligible for award of a Federal Contract, potential vendors need to already be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov Offer Submissions: Offerors shall submit the Return Packet with the required information from Section M of the solicitation.
