The Contractor is responsible for picking up the completed continuous unit from the manufacturing plant and arranging secure freight transportation.

Delivery shall be made FOB Destination to the designated USCG facility in Dania Beach, FL.

Delivery Access Prerequisites:

o Prior to delivery of equipment to the jobsite, exterior access to all delivery entrances must be complete, including driveways leading to the entrance into the building, to allow for trucks to enter for unloading equipment, forklifts, jacks, and/or hand trucks.

o All doors and hallways leading to the foodservice kitchen areas, bars, and service stations must be finished prior to delivery of equipment.

o The Contractor's Project Manager, along with the Owner/Owner's Representative (USCG Representative), will conduct a joint site inspection to assure that the site is ready to accept delivery and setting of equipment in place, as per the above requirements. If, after the site survey is complete, it is determined that the site is not ready to accept delivery of the equipment, a formal notification will be sent to all parties involved.

4.2 Receiving & Inspection

The Contractor shall manage the receipt and uncrating of the continuous serving counter at the facility.

A joint, detailed physical inspection of the unit must be performed immediately upon arrival with the USCG Representative to verify that no visible or suspected transit damage has occurred.

4.3 Demolition & Legacy Asset Removal

The Contractor shall safely dismantle and remove the existing, legacy foodservice counter unit from the bulkhead installation site.

All haul-away, disposal, and environmental/dumping fees associated with the legacy unit are the sole responsibility of the Contractor.

4.4 Assembly, Leveling, & Positioning (Foodservice Area Requirements)

The Contractor shall assemble, position, and level the continuous unit in its final designated operational zone directly against the bulkhead.

Foodservice Area Prerequisites & Care:

o All walls, floors, and ceilings in the designated installation area must be finished prior to setting equipment in place. All plumbing and electrical rough-in stub-outs must also be completed.

o The Owner and/or General Contractor (G.C.) must provide dumpsters on-site for all crates and packaging materials to be discarded, at the owner's expense.

The Contractor shall physically mark the exact floor footprints and layout points to guide third-party licensed tradesmen in executing the final electrical and plumbing hookups.

4.5 Start-Up & Calibration

Following the completion of final hard-tied utility connections by the facility's licensed trades, the Contractor shall dispatch a factory-authorized service technician.

The technician must perform final system calibration, diagnostic performance checks, and system start-up within 48 hours of notification that utility connections are live.

5.0 Damage Mitigation & Freight Protocols

To prevent and resolve shipping-related disputes, the Contractor shall strictly adhere to the following protocols:

Visual Inspection: Thoroughly inspect the shipping crate and packaging before signing the carrier’s Bill of Lading (BOL). Packaging must be opened in the presence of the transport driver.

Documentation: Explicitly annotate any visible or suspected structural damage on the BOL before signing. If the carrier driver refuses to wait for an inspection, this refusal must be documented in writing on the freight bill.

Refusal & Reporting: If the unit arrives damaged beyond repair, the shipment must be refused, the issues documented, and the Contracting OƯicer notified immediately. Any discovered concealed damage must be reported within five (5) business days to preserve shipping insurance claims.

6.0 Exclusions & Third-Party Site Responsibilities

The following tasks are strictly excluded from the equipment Contractor's scope of work and will be provided by others (either the USCG facility or an independent Site General Contractor):

1. Site Access: Ensuring that exterior access, driveways, hallways, and doorways are completely unobstructed and finished to accommodate heavy equipment, hand trucks, and installation crews prior to delivery.

2. Facility Finishes & Bulkhead Preparation: Ensuring that the bulkhead framing, wall finishes, flooring, and ceilings in the designated installation area are 100% complete and ready to receive the integrated counter before the unit is positioned.

3. Utility Stub-outs: Completing all rough-in plumbing and electrical utilities at the designated installation footprint prior to equipment delivery.

4. Final Utility Connections: Physically connecting and tying the electrical lines and plumbing/drain valves directly into the building's infrastructure from the newly positioned and marked equipment. All connections must be performed by licensed local trade professionals.

5. Waste Management: Providing an on-site commercial dumpster for the immediate disposal of shipping crates, cardboard, and protective packaging materials.

7.0 Administration & Period of Performance Terms

Standard Work Hours: On-site installation labor is authorized Monday through Friday, from 0700 to 1630 hours local time. Work during federal holidays or outside these hours requires prior written approval from the Contracting OƯicer.

Site Delays: Delays caused by field conditions, site-readiness failures, or third-party trades that force overtime or weekend work will require a negotiated, formalized Change Order and written approval from the Contracting OƯicer before work can proceed.

8.0 Mandatory Site Visit

Due to the high degree of custom integration required to build this 141-1/2" continuous unit directly into the facility's bulkhead, and the requirement to tie it directly into the building's plumbing and electrical systems, a site visit is strictly mandatory for all prospective bidders.

Bidders must perform the site visit to physically verify all dimensions, examine access pathways, inspect existing utility locations, and assess bulkhead construction constraints.

Failure to participate in the scheduled site visit will result in the immediate rejection of the bidder’s proposal for non-responsiveness.
