About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a project for the supply, delivery, placement, and compaction of 335 tons of Granular Activated Base (GAB) at the Grassy Pond Off-base Recreational Facility for Moody Air Force Base. The project aims to restore and stabilize the FamCamp area, which suffered significant damage from recent hurricanes and tropical storms, resulting in gravel displacement, erosion, and unsafe conditions for vehicles and pedestrians. The contractor will be responsible for delivering the GAB to 5360 Grassy Pond Rd., Lake Park, GA 31636, with deliveries permitted Monday-Friday from 0800-1600, and must spread and compact the material using a roller. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment for safe transportation and delivery, coordinate with the customer to obtain signed receipts for each truck delivery, and provide a standard 1-year warranty for the work.

Statement of Work Additional Granular Activated Base (GAB) – Grassy Pond

1. Scope

This project entails the supply, delivery, placement, and compaction of 335 tons of Granular Activated Base (GAB) at the designated areas within the FamCamp. The purpose of this project is to establish a stable and level subgrade for the FamCamp including the driving areas and RV camp sites.

2. Background 23 FSS strives to meet the needs of our customer base. The Grassy Pond Off-base Recreational Facility currently has a need for 335 Tons of GAB to be delivered to our location following damage from Hurricane Idalia, Tropical Storm Debby, and Hurricane Helene. The recent storms have caused significant displacement and erosion of gravel in the FamCamp/RV Park, leading to uneven surfaces, loss of adequate drainage, and unsafe conditions for vehicles and pedestrians. The GAB will be intermingled with the recently installed Granite #57 to create a stable surface in the FamCamp. The GAB will be delivered to the Grassy Pond Off-base Recreational Facility at 5360 Grassy Pond Rd., Lake Park GA 31636. The lack of GAB has a direct, negative impact on the health of the MWRF.
