About this file

This document is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the FY25 BLM Idaho Plant Conservation and Restoration Management program. The BLM Idaho office is hosting a series of virtual office hours in December 2024 and January 2025 to provide guidance and clarification on the NOFO requirements and application process.

The FY25 NOFO seeks projects that protect biodiversity, increase climate change resilience, contribute to 30% land/water conservation by 2030, engage underserved communities, and use the best science. Eligible activities include habitat restoration for sensitive species, developing genetically appropriate native plant material, supporting research on restoration effectiveness, implementing rare plant conservation actions, and increasing public education on native plants. Eligible applicants include state/tribal governments, non-profits, higher education institutions, and local governments. The program is funded under the CFDA 15.245 Plant Conservation and Restoration Management grant. Interested parties can contact the BLM grants management team with any questions.

We can provide clarification on organization and proposal eligibility, talk through how to complete the paperwork, etc.

Note: 2 CFR 1402.204 requires fair and impartial competition with funding announcements. Therefore, we cannot talk specifics about applications, such as if the proposal is merit-worthy, what specific projects the BLM wants to fund, or specific project locations.

Have questions? Contact Kayla Blades, Grants Management Officer, at kblades@blm.gov.
