About this file
This document is a Sole Source Justification (SSJ) for a simplified acquisition over the micro-purchase threshold and up to the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT). The objective is to maintain the annual Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certificates of compliance at three Federal Protective Service MegaCenters that meet UL 827 and UL 1981 standards. UL will perform the required inspections and audits to maintain the compliance certificates. The anticipated 5-year cost is $55,500. The justification for the sole source is that UL is the only provider and issuing body for the required UL 827 and UL 1981 certifications, which are mandatory for the MegaCenters. Price reasonableness will be determined through comparison to previous pricing and the Independent Government Cost Estimate. The contract was awarded to an unknown vendor on 2024-09-26 under solicitation number FY24-00351.
